Saints LT Terron Armstead hurt early vs Patriots; heads back to locker room

The Saints continued to be struck by injuries on the offensive line in Week 3, with Terron Armstead suffering an arm injury.

The injury occurred as he was blocking on a third down pass that went to Deonte Harris for a new set of downs. Armstead went down on the field after the play before walking back to the locker room. He was replaced by James Hurst and was declared questionable to return with an elbow injury.

The injury appeared to occur as his arm got pinned between a defender and running back Tony Jones Jr. attempting to pick up a block.

The Saints finished off that drive with a touchdown pass to Alvin Kamara. Armstead didn't return for the Saints' next drive after the defense forced a 3-and-out.

The injury leaves the Saints without two starters on its OL group, with center Erik McCoy missing his second consecutive game with a calf injury.
