Now officially entering game week the Saints have brought back a pair of veterans that didn't survive the final cutdown to 53 players.
The team re-signed veteran wide receiver Chris Hogan to the active roster and are expected to bring back quarterback Trevor Siemian, according to reports from Mike Garofalo of the NFL Network.
The roster moves were expected as the team cleared a handful of roster spots following the initial cutdown to 53 players last Tuesday. Hogan was one of the first signings for the Saints during camp, throwing the clamps on a brief foray into pro lacrosse for another shot in the NFL. He's looked solid and dependable, and will likely have a role on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
Siemian will return for his second year after spending much of 2020 on the Saints practice squad. He competed with rookie Ian Book throughout camp.
