LSU’s Heisman-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels has nothing left to prove on the field for NFL scouts.
As such, he’s not participating in any of the physical activities at this week’s NFL Combine. But what he IS doing is taking meetings with a number of potentially-interested teams who could be mulling drafting the former Tiger.
And the New Orleans Saints apparently are in that number.
Ryan Fowler of Bleacher Report posted to social media a list of teams Daniels is expected to meet with, and seeing as how the Saints and LSU fanbases intersect by a wide margin, that news should be met with a high degree of satisfaction from the Who Dat Nation.
Among the Saints contingent currently in Indianapolis for the Combine: General Manager Mickey Loomis and head coach Dennis Allen.
Most analysts have Daniels projected to be taken in the top 10 of this year’s NFL Draft. The Saints currently hold the 14th overall pick of the first round.
