Saints Wednesday week 5 injury report: McCoy and Armstead not practicing, Jones Jr. to IR

The Saints opening injury report for week 5 in much shorter than their opponents. Just center Erik McCoy (calf) and left tackle Terron Armstead (elbow) did not practice. Corner Marshon Lattimore remains a full participant but is getting treatment for his hand injury. QB Jameis Wisnton is not listed after dealing with a knee issue last week.

Tony Jones Jr. was not seen during the media’s viewing of Wednesday’s workout. The undrafted RB out of Norte Dame was put on injured reserve after injuring his ankle in the loss to the Giants.


The Saints have brought back running back Devine Ozigbo, who was signed to the active roster from the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad.

He was first in black & Gold as an undrafted rookie out of Nebraska in 2019. Ozigbo has totaled 28 yards rushing and 65 yards receiving during 18 games with the Jags over the past two seasons.

The team also added Ryquell Armstead to the practice squad.
The 5-11, 220-pound running back was a 5th-round pick in 2019 out of Temple. He had a rough 2020 going on the reserve/COVID-19 list twice, and ended up missing most of the season due to respiratory issues.

The Washington Football team owns a 2-2 record, coming off of a come from behind victory over Atlanta. The WFT has 10 players listed on their initial week 5 injury report.
