Saints WRs Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders not at practice Thursday

It was not a surprise when Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas was not at practice today. He’s dealing with an ankle issue, but not seeing Emmanuel Sanders caused me to wonder if he got banged up at all in the win over Tampa.

But, the first injury report for week 2 revealed Sanders' absence was not injury related. Meanwhile, DE Marcus Davenport remains out with an elbow issue.

On the positive side of things, rookie center/guard Cesar Ruiz was back. He was limited in practice as he works his way back from an ankle injury.

Corner P.J. Williams was back to a full-go after missing week one due to a hamstring issue.

The Saints also got back running back Dwayne Washington who was activated from the reserve/COVID list.

The Raiders are feeling rough to begin the work week. They have 7 players who did not take part in Thursday’s workout:

T Sam Young (Groin)

WR Henry Ruggs III (Knee)

LB Nick Kwiatkoski (Pectoral)

G/C Richie Incognito (Achillies/NIR)

T Trent Brown (Calf)

C Rodney Hudson (Not injury related)

TE Jason Witten (Not injury related)
