The New Orleans Saints picked up a 24-9 win against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday.
The Saints defense was impressive and sacked Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan eight times.
Here’s what Ryan said about the New Orleans defense after the game:
On the New Orleans Saints defense: “They did a good job of rushing different packages the entire day, stressing our pass protection and they did a good job of covering in the back end. Tip your hat to them, they played well today and we have to play better in a couple of weeks when we see them again. We will look at the film tomorrow and find ways to be better next week.”
On if the Saints defense was underrated: “They are playing well, there is no doubt about it. They have been playing well all year and giving people trouble at different time. Again, my hats off to them, I thought they played really well. We have to find a way to be better in a couple of weeks when we see them.”
On the Saints pressure: “Yes, we did, we had some different protection schemes where we were keeping five, or keeping six, and helping with the seventh, but it’s just one of those days. We have to find a way to be better as we move forward, we did not do a good enough job today.”
On playing the Saints in two weeks: “For sure, it’s going to be a quick turnaround. Obviously, we have Vegas next week and they are playing very well so we have to focus on that and be better and get a win next week, but we’ll see these guys in two weeks and hopefully have a different outcome.”
