(KMOX) - It just wouldn't be right to see Loyola University of Chicago play in the NCAA Championship Tournament without Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt sitting court side. And lucky for us, they won't have to.

The Ramblers announced on Tuesday that the team's 101-year-old chaplain – and good luck charm of the 2018 team that made the Final Four – will be attending the team's First Round game against Georgia Tech on Friday in Indianapolis.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Sister Jean has received both her vaccine shots and although she hasn't been to a game yet this season said "I want to go so badly" when her team made the tournament.

Loyola is a No. 8 seed this year and will face the ACC tournament champions in the First Round.

If you're not familiar with Sister Jean's story, she was the star of the 2018 tournament when Loyola was a No. 11 seed and made the Final Four as one of the great Cinderella stories in tournament history.
