A player for Texas A&M was ejected from the Aggies' game against Ole Miss over the weekend for a blatant cheap shot.
How blatant?
Shemar Turner, a defensive lineman for the Aggies, has since issued an apology for punching Rebels offensive lineman Micah Pettus squarely and obviously in his unmentionables.
"I want to apologize for embarrassing myself, my family, and my team!" Turner wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "My actions were unacceptable and stupid. I have to understand what teams are gonna try to do to get me out my game I let my emotions get the best of me won’t happen again period… #GigEm"
"He's a great player and a great young man," Texas A&M Coach Jimbo Fisher said after the game. "He'll learn from that. We'll make sure we get him right because he's got a great future in the game. It's a shame."
Ole Miss went on to win the game 38-35.
