Tulane stars Tyjae Spears, Dorian Williams both drafted in third round

Tulane stars Tyjae Spears and Dorian Williams are headed to the NFL, and neither had to wait around too long.

The Titans nabbed the Green Wave star at No. 81, joining an impressive draft haul that also includes Northwestern OT Peter Skoronski and Kentucky QB Will Levis. Spears is the highest draft pick for Tulane since Matt Forte in 2008.

Dorian Williams went 10 picks later to the Buffalo Bills at No. 91. He joins a class that includes Utah TE Dalton Kincaid and Florida G O'Cyrus Torrence.

Spears ran the 427 times for 2,910 yards and 31 touchdowns, helping to key the Green Wave to a Cotton Bowl appearance and upset of USC and star Caleb Williams.

The New Orleans native grew up idolizing Reggie Bush, and made it clear throughout the draft process that he'd have loved to land with the Saints, but New Orleans opted for TCU standout Kendre Miller at No. 71.

Williams totaled 316 tackles, 9.5 sacks and 27 tackles for loss in his four-year career with the Green Wave.
