WATCH: 85-year-old man dances with joy after getting COVID vaccine

This man is dancing his way to herd immunity.

Jose Luis Macedo, an 85-year-old man from Peru, danced after receiving his COVID-19 vaccine.

According to Local 12, Macedo said he is looking forward to going back to the club and dancing.

Last week, Macedo, who lives in Lima, received his Pfizer vaccine at a health center. He said he is very excited to receive the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine because he wants to see his family and friends and return to the dance floor.

"We long for the vaccine to be able to be well. All we want is to be well, and in my case, I like to entertain myself: talk to friends, be with family, go to the club and dance," Macedo said.

Macedo showed off his awesome dance moves, and many were impressed with the 85-year-old.

One person commented, "85 yrs old and just see the joyful energy!!! I'm 66 and I dearly hope I get that much energy when I'm older. YOU too WILL get there God willing."

Another user said, "I want to do that at 85 how much or what his secret is."

Macedo said he can dance well because of his healthy eating and always remaining active by dancing, playing ping pong, and skating. He also mentioned how he doesn't smoke nor drink.

In early February, Peru started its vaccination program. The country prioritized vaccinating more than 5.3 million older adults.
