NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar hosted a “get out the vote” Twitch stream on Tuesday night — and the event drew more than 400,000 viewers, according to reports.
The two congresswomen live-streamed themselves playing “Among Us,” a space-themed multiplayer game, on the platform while encouraging viewers to make plans to vote in the upcoming presidential election.
Axios reported that the stream drew Twitch’s third-largest audience ever for a live event.
Ocasio-Cortez had garnered nearly 500,000 subscribers on the platform as of Tuesday night, the New York Post reported.
