PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The coronavirus outbreak has affected thousands of businesses and workers.
Even those that are able to stay open are feeling the strain, including restaurants.
In an effort to give some relief, Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has purchased “a significant amount” of gift cards to help keep at least one local business going.
Scalise adds Roethlisberger wasn’t looking for publicity but the restaurant owner felt it was important to share positive stories during this time of uncertainty.
Roethlisberger will distribute the gift cards to those that may need an extra hand during the coronavirus outbreak.
Places like Juliano’s remain open for carry-out and delivery and are offering curbside pickup as well.
