Airbnb recorded its first-ever annual profit last year, boosted by a rise in cross-border travel during the fourth quarter. The short-term rental company says Americans took advantage of a strong dollar to fly abroad and European intracontinental travel picked up.
Orlando has been named the largest U.S. travel and tourism city destination for 2022 by the World Travel & Tourism Council. The city earned over $31 billion last year from tourism, representing 20% of the city's total GDP. Following Orlando was Las Vegas. Miami and New York City also surpassed 2019 level contributions, proving that these cities "remain iconic destinations."
