The Supreme Court seems cautious about siding with oil and gas companies in a case involving global warming. The case the court heard yesterday is an important preliminary fight that could help determine whether global warming cases ultimately wind up being argued in state court or federal court, which is the companies’ preference.
According to new government data, airfares fell to new lows last summer.
The average domestic fare was $245, down 30% from a year ago and a nearly 7% decline from last spring. The third quarter figure was the lowest since the government began tracking airfare in 1995.
