When it comes to alcohol, beer is still our drink of choice, but hard liquor is gaining fast. According to a new Gallup poll, 37% of drinkers say they drink beer most often, while 31% prefer liquor and 29% favor wine. While beer reigns supreme, the percentage of drinkers who say liquor is their favorite drink is now the highest on record. At points in the 90s and early 2000s, close to 50% preferred beer, and wine came in second.

Las Vegas casino hotels have been charging fees for extra hours in the room for years….now properties from budget hotels to luxury resorts are also trying it. Fees range from $25 to $150. Marriott tells guests who complain about the fees on social media that hotels have the right to charge them.
