If you are not already receiving child tax credit payments, the deadline to sign up for them is today. The credit provides up to $300 per month per child under age 6 for a total of $1,800, and up to $250 per month per child ages 6 to 17, for a total of $1,500. The payments began in July and will last thru December.
Oil giant BP CEO Bernard Looney says the company is committed to tackling climate change, but he insists that hydrocarbons such as oil and gas will have an ongoing role to play in the energy mix for years. Looney told CNBC oil and gas is “going to be in the energy system for decades.”
Nearly two years after the onset of the pandemic, Carnival Cruise Lines is restarting operations in Mobile. Carnival says all 22 of its U.S.-based ships will be back in operation by March, with the Carnival Sensation sailing out of Mobile on March 5.
