Business: Cruise lines could start sailing again this summer

UBS says U.S. cruise sailings have the potential to restart this summer.
Those first sailings would likely only operate at about 7% capacity before growing to 75% next spring. UBS says cruising demand could potentially exceed supply by 2023 due to pent-up demand, and it issued a “buy” rating on Carnival shares.

As crude-oil prices have fallen four straight sessions, the longest losing streak in six months, analysts at Tudor Pickering say investors might want to use this moment to buy oilfield services shares. They say their oil price outlook remains largely intact, and they’re apt to use pullbacks to buy shares of companies with international and offshore exposure.


The House has passed legislation that would create a pathway for undocumented farm workers to earn a green card, sending the bill to the Senate. The legislation would create a process to earn temporary status as Certified Agricultural Workers for people who have worked at least 180 days in agriculture over the past two years.

Futures are higher after stocks tumbled yesterday. The Dow Industrials lost 153, the Nasdaq skidded 409 and the S&P 500 lost 58.
