If you’re hoping to land a remote job, you may hit a wall, as remote listings rapidly dwindle. After remote work surged during the pandemic, fewer employers now feel the need to lure talent with the promise of working from home. Remote jobs made up just 13.2% of postings advertised on LinkedIn last month. Indeed.com and ZipRecruiter also report declines in remote listings.
The CEO of one of the world’s biggest oil companies is calling on the energy industry to “up its game” to reduce emissions. In a keynote speech at an energy industry conference in Houston, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s CEO emphasized the “integral” role that the oil and gas sector plays in tackling the climate emergency. He told attendees they “have the knowledge, experience, expertise, and the resources needed … to address the dual challenge of driving sustainable progress while holding back emissions.”
Futures are modestly higher after stocks ended mixed yesterday. The Dow Industrials gained 40 and the S&P 500 edged up 2, but the Nasdaq slipped 13.
