Caring for sick children has become extra stressful for many parents due to shortages of Children’s Tylenol and other medications - and doctors and other experts say the problem could persist through the winter. CVS has placed a two-product limit on all children’s pain relief products, while Walgreens is limiting customers online to six purchases of children’s over-the-counter fever reducing products.
Homebuilder sentiment dropped for the 12th month in a row, but there appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel. While builders continue to struggle to find buyers in the current interest rate environment, they say buyers are slowly coming back as mortgage rates are no longer above 7% and home price growth is moderating. And with 62% of builders offering incentives like mortgage rate buy-downs and even price reductions, some buyers are being lured back in.
Futures are lower after stocks closed moderately lower yesterday. The Dow Industrials fell 162, the Nasdaq lost 159 and the S&P 500 lost 34.
