New Orleans is a very happy travel destination. So says Club Med, which ranks the city No. 3 in the world on its list of the Top 10 “happiest travel destinations.”
The survey measured cities based on nine metrics, including crime, safety, pollution, cost of domestic beers, outdoor activities, day trips, and overall happiness. Bali, Indonesia, is No. 1, followed by Las Vegas.
Other cities on the list include Barcelona, Amsterdam and Vancouver.
Saudi Arabia and some of its oil-producing allies have suggested cutting crude production, disappointing U.S. officials who predicted the kingdom would be instrumental in cooling the market after President Biden met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Saudi-led OPEC and OPEC+ agreed to a smaller-than-expected production increase earlier in August. Now, Saudi Arabia’s energy minister is suggesting the alliance could extract fewer barrels of oil to stabilize the market.
Futures are down slightly after stocks closed lower yesterday. The Dow Industrials fell 154, the Nasdaq was flat and the S&P 500 slipped 9.
