More than 190 governments at the United Nations Climate Conference approved an agreement today calling for the world to transition away from fossil fuels, an accord that bridged differences between big energy-producing nations and countries that want to completely phase out coal, oil and natural gas. The deal, the result of all-night talks, calls for “transitioning away from fossil fuels in energy systems, in a just, orderly and equitable manner.” The goal is to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
Netflix is finally revealing viewership statistics on nearly all of its shows and movies. The “What We Watched” report ranks almost all of Netflix’s shows and movies by number of hours viewed over the past six months. Season one of “The Night Agent,” an original action thriller, was the streamer’s most-viewed show during the past six months, garnering 812 million viewing hours. “The Mother,” starring Jennifer Lopez, was the top movie.
Futures are slightly higher after stocks closed moderately higher yesterday. The Dow Industrials gained 173, the Nasdaq rose 101 and the S&P 500 was up 21.
