
JOPLIN, Mo. (KMOX) - A Missouri man convicted on a total of 10 felony counts for sexually abusing three girls, with more accusers, was sentenced to more than 600 years in prison.
Daniel Franklin, 62, of Joplin was convicted by a jury in April, that recommend a stacked sentence for the 10 felonies: Three counts of statutory rape and statutory sodomy, two counts of child molestation and single counts of enticement of a child and unlawful use of a weapon, according to the Joplin Globe. The Jasper County Circuit judge sentenced him to a total of 628 years in prison on Monday.
The crimes were committed against three young girls between 2015 and 2017, the youngest was 11-years-old when she was first abused by him. Five teenage girls testified against Franklin.
The girls say he took them on "camping trips" and forced them to play strip poker and "sex ed" games after giving them alcohol, according to the report.
