Our Monday morning started cold with temps in the 30s and 40s, but we'll warm to around 70 degrees in the afternoon.

"We'll have lots of sun and very dry air in place," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone forecasts.

He says we will get a little warmer each day.

"High pressure shifts to our east this week. That will allow southerly winds and a gradual warm up. We'll approach 80 degrees Thursday and Friday. "

Malone says the next rain threat isn't until this weekend.

Also, we lose an hour of sleep this weekend.

"Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday, March 14 at 2 a.m. This is the one where we 'spring forward,'" Malone reminded us.
