Two women are hospitalized in critical condition after their car plunged into a canal in Kenner Thursday night, according to our partners at NOLA.com.
The crash happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. near Chateau Blvd. and Ronson Dr.
The car came to rest in the water upside-down. A Kenner Police officer and Kenner firefighter pulled the women from the crash.
First responders performed CPR until an ambulance could take the two women to a hospital.
