New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a double shooting with at least one fatality in the 7100 block of Chef Menteur Hwy.
Police say shortly after 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to investigate.
"Initial reports show two female gunshot wound victims in this incident," said police in a statement. "One victim has been declared deceased on scene and the second victim has been transported via EMS to a local hospital."
