Two men are under arrest today after a double-shooting Monday afternoon in the 2100 block of Van Arpel Drive in Laplace.

St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's officials say Marius White of LaPlace and Jaron Robinson of Hammond shot each other in a dispute around 3:40 p.m. Monday, and both men are now in critical condition.

Meanwhile, Terrance James, an alleged accomplice of Robinson's, and Judah Coleman, whom detectives say is linked to White, have been booked on firearms charges.

"Investigators have recovered five firearms, two of which are 'ghost guns,' meaning they don’t have visible serial numbers," the sheriff's office said.

The incident remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Sgt. B. Smith with the St. John Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at (504) 494-3696, or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
