The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office has booked two women in the murder of a 48-year-old woman at a Metairie apartment complex in January, the Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports.

Deputies arrested 49-year-old Monica Every of LaPlace and 26-year-old Deja Walls of New Orleans. Both face charges of second degree murder.

Investigators say the two women are responsible for the death of Charlene Jones. Jones was found fatally shot in a car in the parking lot of the Gatehouse Apartments on January 27.

Authorities did not discuss possible motives in the crime.

NOLA.com reports that Every is the mother of Joshua Every, the suspect in the murder of a Raising Cane's employee killed during an armed robbery in Kenner in 2016.
