(AP) — A drug dealer who prosecutors say sold heroin to a man who died from an overdose in suburban New Orleans has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison.
The U.S. Attorney's Office in New Orleans says 46-year-old Bryan Joseph of Jefferson Parish was sentenced Wednesday.
Court records show Joseph pleaded guilty to a single count of heroin distribution in 2019.
His arrest came after an investigation into the death of a man found in a fast food outlet's restroom in Harvey in October of 2018.
An investigation led to Joseph, who was arrested following an undercover drug purchase later that month.
