The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office arrested three men and says it seized marijuana, pills, and a couple of assault rifles after a surveillance operation of suspicious activity.
"On Friday, February 7, during a surveillance operation in an area reported to have suspicious activity, TPSO deputies observed one suspect weighting and packaging marijuana near a car," said sheriff's office spokesperson Ashley Rodrigue. "A traffic stop was conducted shortly after where marijuana, a scale, pills and firearms were found in two different vehicles."
Deputies arrested Melvin Felder, 26; Jordan Pocorobba, 33; and Deandre Wheeler, 30.
Authorities say they executed a search warrant on Felder's apartment and found more marijuana, pills, and an AK-47-style rifle.
