Three Louisiana high schoolers were taken into custody in Florida for underage possession of alcohol.
The three teenagers were pulled over during a traffic stop by deputies with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, who made a Facebook post detailing the incident.
While the teens’ identities were hidden due to their underage status, police were clearly making an example of them as a cautionary tale.
More charges could be forthcoming for the juvenile offenders and possibly their parents as well, with the OCSO saying they “anticipate holding at least one set of parents accountable.”
When they were pulled over, a 15-year-old was driving and did not have a driver’s license.
In addition to the alcohol found in their possession, police say that “suspected cannabis gummies were seized from one of the juveniles with charges possibly forthcoming.”
