One man is dead, another man and a woman injured by gunfire, and a suspect is in custody after a triple shooting at a convenience store early this morning in Reserve.
The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office says it happened shortly after midnight in the 3900-block of West Airline Highway.
"Deputies responded to the store in reference to a shooting with multiple victims," the sheriff's office said. "Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of Henry Jamal Malancon Jr. 26, of Mt. Airy, with gunshots to his body on the ground in the parking lot."
Deputies found two other victims, a 24-year-old man from Reserve and a 24-year-old woman from St. Rose, injured in a parking lot behind the store.
The sheriff's office says 26-year-old Trajuan Dixon of Garyville surrendered and confessed.
"Dixon was charged with manslaughter and two counts of aggravated second degree battery," the sheriff's office said. "A motive is unknown at this time.
