Three teenagers charged in the death of St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Sgt. Grant Candies appeared in court today for their arraignment.
All three pleaded not guilty to charges including second-degree murder and manslaughter.
Prosecutors say 17-year-old Adrian Waughtal was driving the fleeing vehicle that struck and killed Candies in March. He and 17-year-old Mason Paul Eugene Fischer are charged with second-degree murder. Another teen, 18-year-old Michael Lanier, is charged with manslaughter.
The three defendants are set to go to trial in October.
