The NFL just kicked off its exhibition season, and a week from tomorrow, the Saints will play their first of three preseason games, in Glendale, Arizona. And in three weeks, the Saints return home to a Superdome that is FINALLY done with its latest renovation.

"It has been a long four years. This is the first football  season in quite a while where we are not facing construction during the season," said Doug Thornton, Vice President of ASM Global, the company that manages Caesars Superdome for the state of Louisiana.

Superdome General Manager Evan Holmes said the recent Zach Bryan concert was a test run.

"We had about 40-some-odd-thousand people here and it was the first time we had the building fully operating as designed and it performed as anticipated," Holmes said. "Our team was able to kind of see how it ebbs and flows. People came in to the new entrances and used new concourse spaces, and the NFL was here with us, for the Super Bowl, they wanted to see it as much as we did, as well as some of the Saints personnel."

They have a few more weeks to get any loose ends trimmed. The Saints have an open practice at the Dome three weeks from today, on August 23, followed by the final game of the preseason, hosting the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, August 25.

The stadium will host Super Bowl LIX on February 9.
