Tuesday saw record snowfall in and around New Orleans, halting flights in and out of MSY for days. But some flights resumed Thursday - and more will be coming in and out tomorrow.
"I'm actually seeing the operation coming back up by midday (Thursday)... and then of course fully normal by Friday," Kevin Dolliole told WWL's Newell Normand.
He says conditions off the airport grounds have also been a factor.
"There was concern with passengers and employees having the ability to safely get to the airport."
Dolliole says more than 1,000 employees are needed to run the airport each day.
"There's 4,000 badged employees at the airport. On any given day, probably a good quarter to half, at least, are working at the airport."
