A train on Amtrak’s Mardi Gras line hit a truck on the tracks Sunday morning.
It happened south of Mobile.
Amtrak said that there were 48 passengers on board, but none were injured.
Some crew members were treated on the scene for injuries they suffered.
An investigation is underway.
The incident led to the cancellation of the next three scheduled trains on the route.
“Itinerary Change: Train 26 is canceled between New Orleans (NOL) and Mobile (MOE). No alternate bus transportation will be provided. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,” Amtrak posted.
