A violent Saturday for New Orleans, particularly in New Orleans East last night.
It began just after noon with a man being shot multiple times on Clover Street near the intersection with Franklin Avenue.
Officers arrived to find the victim bleeding out.
He was transported to local hospital where he died of his wounds.
An on-going investigation is in progress.
No other clues have been released.
Later on the evening, in New Orleans East, a number of people were targeted by one or more shooters.
At about 7:55 p.m., NOPD officers received initial notification of an aggravated battery by shooting incident in the 6800 block of West Coronet Court.
Upon further investigation, the incident was confirmed at about 8:56 p.m.
Initial information shows one victim who was transported to a local hospital via EMS.
At about 8:13 p.m., NOPD officers received initial notification of an aggravated battery by shooting incident in the 7000 block of Bundy Road.
There are two reported victims - an adult male and a juvenile female.
Both sustained graze wounds and arrived at a local hospital via private conveyance.
