Five people were shot between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning in New Orleans.
One of the shootings took place 11pm on Bourbon Street between Bienville and Conti Streets.
Initial reports said there was one victim suffering with a gunshot wound to the lower leg.
He was transported to the hospital by EMS.
In the Fifth District a late night shooting around the same time near Pauger and North Villere Streets.
Units responded to shots fired in the area found the victim unresponsive inside a stolen Nissan Maxima, with a gunshot wound to the head.
He was transported to University Hospital via NOEMS.
Just before midnight a shooting that occurred at or near the intersection of Almonaster Avenue and Elaine Street.
One male victim suffered with gunshot wounds to the foot and ankle.
He was transported to the hospital in unknown conditions.
Around 12:30am Sunday in the Sixth District off Washington Avenue and LaSalle Street, two people were shot one suffered a gunshot wound to the hand, another sustained a gunshot wound to the arm.
One was transported to the hospital by private conveyance, and the other by EMS.
All cases are still open and under investigation.
