About 10,000 customers of the Cross Gates Water system in the Slidell area are being cautioned to boil their water, after a contractor working on fiber cable hit a water main.
This exact same thing happened last week on March 7.
"A contractor performing work for Vexus Fiber hit a water main in the Cross Gates Water System in Slidell, causing a system-wide drop in pressure," St. Tammany Parish said in a news release. "Parish crews are actively working to make the repairs."
The parish will advise when the advisory is lifted.
The boil advisory last week lasted for a couple of days.
