As Chief Superintendent Shaun Ferguson made the play for more license plate readers in the hopes of solving who is shooting at cars on New Orleans expressways, another killing has taken place.
Just in time for the evening commute, gunfire rang out on the I-10 West near Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans East.
NOPD reports there was a single victim who suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
As the freeway closed, homicide detectives worked the scene for witnesses and clues.
For now, no arrests have been made and the case remains open and under investigation.
