Following the success of Vax Fest at the Shrine on Airline, Jefferson Parish residents can get vaccinated at another mass vaccination event at the Alario Center.
The event will happen Wednesday, March 31 at the Alario Center at 2000 Segnette Boulevard in Westwego. The Moderna vaccine will be administered at this event.
The event is by appointment only. The call center is open today until 2 pm to take appointments. Residents can book an appointment by calling 518-4020 or register online at covidvaccinations.jeffparish.net.
Residents scheduled to get their first shot at Wednesday’s event will have to return for their second shot on the second dose is on Wednesday, April 28.
Jefferson Parish officials say when additional allotments of vaccine become available in the coming weeks, more appointments will be available in the online registration system.
