The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office say there's been another escape from the Bridge City Center for Youth in Jefferson Parish.
"Sheriff Tim Soignet is asking for the public’s help in locating 17-year-old Blaze Crochet, of Thibodaux," Lt. Blake Tabor said in a news release. "The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office was made aware of an incident where a local teen escaped from the Bridge City Youth Center."
Crochet had been remanded to the facility on probation violation charges.
Tabor did not say what charges initially led to Crochet being on probation.
"The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit (SVU) is actively investigating the incident, though his location is unknown. Crochet is described as 5’6″ tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds, with brown hair, and blue eyes."
The teen is also wanted for other crimes.
"Crochet also has outstanding warrants for his arrest in Lafourche Parish, for unrelated offenses."
Cops are asking for help finding him.
"Sheriff Tim Soignet urges anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 876-2500 or dial 911."
The Bridge City facility has been in the news the last several years for a series of escapes and other issues at the juvenile detention center.
