The Archdiocese of New Orleans dismissed a priest at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Luling after the priest claimed during mass that the church was being taken over by "the gays," and priests would be forced to "bless all kinds of monkeys and animals and chimpanzees," according to a NOLA.com report.

Archdiocese officials did not disclose why they dismissed the Rev. Anthony Odiong, but they did file a report a law enforcement agency.

Church officials did say that it does not involve abuse of minors or members of St. Anthony of Padua parish.

However, NOLA.com reports a woman has made allegation against Odiong involving abusinve behavior.

Odiong, through an attorney, denies the allegations.
