Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Buffalo police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting incident where two Buffalo Police Officers were fired at.
The incident happened this past Friday at approximately 1:30am in the vicinity of Walden Avenue and Harmonia Street. Buffalo police say 25 year old Steven Werts of Buffalo shot and struck acivilian who was part of some type of large street gathering. Buffalo police arrested and charged Werts with criminal possession of a weapon in connection with that incident. Police are also investigating that Werts fired at officers who had responded to the call.
The 22 year old Buffalo male who was struck by gunfire was transported to ECMC and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police say additional charges are possible.
