Arrest made in Ulloa St. murder says NOPD

Police in New Orleans announce they have arrested Robert J. Scott in connection to a homicide that happened June 28, in the 4000 block of Ulloa Street.

At about 4:04 a.m., NOPD First District officers responded to the area for a call of shots fired. Upon arrival, units discovered one male victim in the 4000 block of Ulloa Street suffering from a gunshot wound. A second male victim was located soon after near the intersection of Tulane and South Carrollton Avenues and having also sustained a gunshot wound.


The first victim was transported via EMS to local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office later identified this victim as Daquan Fountain. The second victim was also transported via EMS to a local hospital. A third male victim in this incident was not injured.

Detectives learned that Scott had been arrested and was being held in Webster Parish, La.
He was extradited back to New Orleans, where he was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center
