New Orleans Interim Police Chief Michelle Woodfork confirmed Thursday that detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect in the Dec. 23 killing of Brandon "Boogie B" Montrell.
The shooting happened two days before Christmas in the parking lot of Rouses Supermarket in the 700 block of Barronne St.
Chief Woodfork said she was not naming the suspect because police have not yet arrested the individual.
A funeral was held today for Montrell.
