A 9-month-old boy reported kidnapped from Westwego today is home safe, police tell WWL-TV.
The child was in a black 2015 Nissan pickup when the truck was stolen. The boy's father had left the truck to enter a house to retrieve some food, and when he returned moments later, the truck was gone.
The suspect removed the baby and left him in on the front porch of a home the Holly Grove neighborhood of New Orleans.
No arrests have been made.
