Although the latest forecasts call for heavy rains after the Sunday parades end, the Superkrewe of Bacchus is not taking any chances.
Bacchus officials tell WWL that they are pushing up their start time by 30 minutes to 4:45 p.m. to avoid the threat of rain on their parade. The parade will still follow the Uptown route and end at the Morial Convention Center.
The daytime parades in New Orleans will still roll at their appointed times, starting with Okeanos at 11 a.m. Mid City and Thoth will immediately follow Okeanos.
