Police in New Orleans investigate what led to a bicyclist getting struck and killed by a passing vehicle on Gentilly Boulevard Friday morning.
“At around 5:37 a.m., NOPD Third District officers responded to a call of a vehicle accident at the location,” said an NOPD report.
“The initial investigation has revealed that a male bicyclist was heading northbound on Gentilly Blvd. near Aubry Street when he was struck by a driver heading in the same direction. The victim died at the scene. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.”
