Police in New Orleans are working to find out what happened after a body was found in Lake Pontchartrain near Franklin Avenue and Lakeshore Drive.
The NOPD reported the finding Tuesday at 11:31 a.m.
NOPD spokesperson Juan Barnes says the body is that of a woman but more information is not yet available at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are working on identifying the woman's body and a cause of death.
