New Orleans Police say one person is dead after a fatal crash that involved three vehicles.
It all started with one driver stopping in the middle of the Pontchartrain Expressway.
"Vehicle #2 stalled in middle lane when struck in rear by Vehicle #1," an initial police reports explains. "Vehicle #3 was struck by Vehicle #1 and stopped in left guardrail area. Vehicle #1 caught fire."
Once they could search the car, they found the dead person.
"Victim discovered deceased in Vehicle #1."
Police did not know the identity of the dead individual.
Cops also did not say if anyone was charged.
It happened near the Tchoupitoulas exit in US 90B West around 2:30am Sunday.
